I am wondering after disabling my public search?

when I actually found how and cancelled my account, I editted as much personal info out as it would let me, and once I hit that cancel button, the respose said "all my information would be removed within 14 days". You have obviously deactivated not cancelled, because to reactivate all you need to do is log in again. I am not sure disabling a public search, is 100%. I am assuming what is out there stays out there prior to the disable date,? Just my my thoughts on Fb?
